Dr Stuart McMaster is NZ trained doctor who graduated from University of Otago. As a General Practitioner, Dr McMaster enjoys all aspects of general medicine but is particularly passionate about skin cancer and varicose veins. He has a broad range of emergency and minor surgery skills after spending many years practicing in rural New Zealand.

Stuart relocated to Brisbane in 2003 and was involved in the development of the Masters of Skin Cancer Medicine programme at University of Queensland. He has also completed further training in dermoscopy and phlebology in which he learnt to manage lower limb venous problems.

In treating venous problems, Stuart uses minimally invasive treatments of Laser, Sclerotherapy, and tissue glue.

Dr Stuart has 32 years’ experience and provides comprehensive skin assessments which includes a diagnosis aided by dermoscopy and, when necessary, a biopsy which can usually be done instantly. If a skin cancer (or other spot of concern) is found, Dr McMaster is highly experienced and skilled in the surgical removal of skin lesions and cancers and their surveillance.

Dr. Maureen is a specialist surgeon with 15 years of medical training and 23 years as a surgeon. She is focused on early skin cancer diagnosis and is experienced in all arrays of both surgical and non-surgical management of skin cancers

Dr. Maureen graduated in 1987 from the University of QLD and completed much of her training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.  She has an additional interest in wound healing and management of chronic leg ulcers.  She has completed a Master of Medical Science specializing in wound healing (Texas, USA) while working in both a clinical and research role at the world renowned Shriner’s Children’s Burns Hospital.  In 1997 she completed her general surgical training in Australia gaining her Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.  She has extensive surgical experience ranging from Plastic surgery to Vascular surgery.

Dr. Maureen has undertaken extensive training in dermoscopy to enable the early diagnosis of skin cancers which means that many cancers can be more easily treated.  Dr. Maureen has extensive experience in the non-surgical treatment of skin cancers utilizing treatments such as Photo Dynamic therapy, Effudix, and Aldara.  Dr. Maureen is able to offer patients with a history of melanoma or large number of moles the latest high quality total body photography system utilizing Fotofinder in the Morayfield clinic.  This enables melanomas to be detected at an earlier stage and therefore achieves a better outcome for most patients.

​Dr Maureen’s extensive surgical experience enables her to perform complex surgical repairs for skin cancers such as facial flaps and skin grafts. She is able to perform many of these surgical procedures in the clinic without the expense of hospital care. Dr. Maureen is particularly focused on good cosmetic outcomes for all patients and is well known for achieving high quality surgical outcomes and excellent appearing scars.  Complex repairs requiring flaps or grafts may incur out of pocket fees.

Dr. Maureen welcomes referrals from GPs who require assistance with their patient management or advice.  In addition, she welcomes patients who have various lumps and cysts that need treatment. Dr. Maureen also performs surgical procedures such as circumcisions, tongue ties, vasectomies, haemorrhoidectomies, blepharoplasties, cosmetic mole removal, and many other cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures.

Never one to sit still Maureen has also completed a Master of Business Administration (2017). Maureen has four adult children who come and go from home.  Maureen’s out of work interests are remote camping, flying with her pilot partner, beekeeping, and a lifelong equestrian interest.

Dr Samuel Neller

Graduated from the University of Queensland in 2014 and completed his Intern and Junior House Officer rotations at the Redcliffe Hospital. He obtained his fellowship with the Royal College of General Practice in 2019. Although early in his career he had a passion for early detection and management of skin cancers and obtains the best outcomes for his patients.
